In my line of work, you might think I occasionally get tired of photographing cute little girls. I mean, they are just so sweet and precious and wrinkly... you might think I've got some kind of "cuteness-limit." Well, thankfully, I don't! I can never get enough of adorable newborn girls (mid-shoot accidents and all!). And now that I have my own little girl, I can't help but think back to when she was new, and then I am not only smitten, I am also nostalgic on top of that! Yup, cute baby girls put me in somewhat of a predicament.
Little Kaylee was no exception. She met all the criteria I look for: cute, small, wrinkly, sleepy, and unable to control her bladder. Yes, her session was destined for sweetness! :)
Add to that a set of laid-back first-time parents and you have a recipe for adorable newborn portraits. So go ahead, scroll down and get to know this perfect example of newborn girl cuteness, and see for yourself!

Arguably, my favorite expression on a baby's face. It means sleep is coming! |
Checking me out... |
For a while, Kaylee was content to be wrapped up in this uber-soft knit cocoon. I mean, who wouldn't be? |
Even when she was awake, Kaylee was so calm. It was great! |
Wrinkly fingers? Check. Pouty lips? Check and check! |
This is about as close as I get to posing newborns. She seemed to find so many delightful sleeping positions on her own! |
It's fun to see what newborns do with their hands before they even realize that they have hands... |
Speaking of hands, this girl means business! |
And I'll leave you on a sleepy, black-and-white note. Beautiful. |
Well, as always, thank you for checking out what I've been up to lately! I am sure little Kaylee didn't disappoint; she is such a little sweetheart! Make sure to stay tuned for more blog posts in the next couple of weeks. I have a huge back-log of work that I need to share with you all!
