So, I've been pretty busy this past month. Mainly, I've been working 'round the clock to get used to parenting a newborn again! (It may be the third time, but that hasn't made it any easier.) My wonderful husband and I welcomed Junia Camille into our family about 4 weeks ago, and we are already quite smitten with her. She is a sleepy little girl with a hunger for life (and milk), and she's very sociable. Maybe it's the fact that she's baby number three, or perhaps it's just her personality, but she is also quite easy-going. She doesn't stay unhappy for long, and she puts up with a lot of attention from her helpful siblings, so she's a trooper in my book!
On her 10th day of life, I decided to give her a proper newborn photo shoot in our backyard. With help from my assistant, it went well, and all was done by nap time. Scroll down to see our lovely little lady in her first of many photo shoots, I'm sure!

At this age, I know they're "accidental" smiles, but I still love them! |

So dainty... |
Scrunchy newborn face! Imagine a squeaky grunt accompanying this photo. |
Her eyes are a dark gray for now, but they will probably turn brown. That's our guess, at least. |
The money shot. I love it! |
It was too bad her cord stump hadn't yet fallen off, but I worked with what I had. Ah well. |
What a sweet little yawn! |

This vintage milk crate came from my husband's family farm out in Eastern Washington. Such a cool piece, and I had been waiting for an opportunity to use it! |
Baby feet. So sweet. |
Well there you have it, friends! You know you'll be seeing a lot more of this little lady in the months and years to come, so brace yourselves! Thanks for looking, and stay tuned for upcoming shoots when I start taking on clients again later this summer. (For now, I get to enjoy this little lady for a bit longer.)
