I recently photographed one of my favorite families, who also happen to very good friends of mine, at one of my new favorite locations- which means I had a GREAT time (and I hope they did, too). It was a triple-win, and I have photographic proof!
We chose to shoot at Fort Steilacoom Park, which is a gorgeous and expansive park including both organized spaces and natural areas, like the one we ended up using. We also took advantage of the "golden hour" of the afternoon, which is a recipe for photo magic.
The kids were sweet and goofy and well-fed, so I didn't have too much trouble getting the shots I wanted. It's really just such a joy for me to photograph people I know well, because the kids know they can be themselves, and the grown ups are willing to do the things I ask, like look lovingly into each other's eyes while I stand awkwardly close to them documenting it. Friends make the best photo subjects, and I *think* friends make the best photographers. At least, I hope they're not just trying to flatter me when they say that...
Oh well, time to look at the evidence!

Parenting. You just can't have normal conversations with your spouse anymore. |

What a beautiful mom. Amiright? |
Well, thanks for looking, folks! Can't you tell just by looking at them what a fun family the Millers are? I'm glad I got to capture it for them (and for all of us, too)!
