For those of you who don't know, my family and I recently relocated to the beautiful and spacious state of Wyoming. (It's been amazing.) Much of my scenery has changed, but last month I had some familiar subjects in front of this new backdrop. You may remember the Miller family from their recent session at Fort Steilacoom, the shoot with the cute wishing well, or their son's memorable Hobbit photo shoot (which gained temporary worldwide fame!).
Well, this time they traveled over 1200 miles for this photo shoot, which is definitely a record for my business. To be honest, it makes me feel pretty good. ;)
We did our session over the course of 2 evenings- all within just a few miles of my house. (How crazy is it that I get to live in such a gorgeous place??) We battled what felt like millions of mosquitos and raced against the sun, but the shoot turned out so well, I have zero complaints.
The first location pictured used to be a very small town until a fire took out many of the buildings decades ago. The granary, railroad, one-room schoolhouse, and town hall are all that remain. Our second location was on an obscure edge of Goshen Hole, which just happens to have really cool spires, cliffs, and perilous outcroppings. Add to that a sunset, two adorable children, and one very puffy princess dress, and you've got a guaranteed winner of a photo shoot. Scroll down to see what I mean, and make sure to click on the photos to see them larger.
Don't those daddy-daughter shots at the end just make your heart melt? I love 'em. How could I not? I love this whole family! I'm already excited for our next session, whenever we see each other again!
Thanks for looking, and stay tuned for more soon...
~ Kathryn
